Fractional controller and CFO · Built for entrepreneurs

Numbers that hold up to outside scrutiny.

Grove Green Advisory is a fractional controller and CFO practice for entrepreneurs. Built in from the first transaction, or brought in when the stakes rise.

Someone outside the company is about to rely on the numbers.

  • A new venture

You are launching a venture with outside capital, and the finance function has to exist before the first report is due.

  • A credit facility

You are putting a credit facility in place or renewing one, and the lender’s diligence list is longer than your finance team.

  • A first audit

Your first audit is coming, and the schedules and workpapers do not exist yet.

  • Investor reporting

Your investor reporting is late or rebuilt by hand every quarter, and someone has started asking questions the books cannot answer.

  • A portfolio company

You have a portfolio company whose reporting you cannot rely on yet.

  • A fund or SPV

You run a fund or SPV, and the capital accounts, investor statements, and audit are yours to deliver.

Close the books, report on them, and defend them.

  • Monthly close

A documented close on a fixed calendar. Every material balance is reconciled and has a workpaper behind it. Grove Green can own the ledger or sit above an existing bookkeeper.

  • Lender and investor reporting

Monthly and quarterly packages, borrowing base and covenant reporting, capital account statements, and the diligence schedules a new facility or a renewal requires, delivered on the dates the agreements set.

  • Budgets, forecasts, and board reporting

The annual budget, a cash forecast kept current, and a board package that explains the numbers rather than restating them. Built from the same close, so nothing is reconciled twice.

  • Audit support

Request lists, schedules, and auditor questions managed from kickoff to opinion. Grove Green is the controller on the company’s side of the audit, not the auditor.

LinkedIn profile

The person on the first call is the person who does the work.

I started Grove Green to work directly with entrepreneurs building something real.

I close the books, build the investor and lender package, and answer the auditor myself. I began in partnership tax at Baker Tilly, moved to a family office to run franchise and real estate accounting, and have worked as a fractional controller and CFO since. I founded Grove Green Advisory in 2026.

I keep a small number of clients, on a retainer or a defined project depending on scope, so each one gets a controller who knows the business. I do not perform audits or prepare tax returns. I work alongside the auditors and tax advisors you already have.

Reporting that banks, family offices, and auditors have relied on.

  • Controller for a $100M+ real estate debt fund backed by a family office: fund accounting, quarterly investor reporting, the annual budget, and the audit.

  • Built the finance function for an asset-based lender from inception, audit-ready from day one.

  • Finance lead for a multi-unit operator from pre-revenue to 31 locations in 18 months.

  • Purchase accounting and a multi-entity ERP migration for a family office after an acquisition.
